HBO has no problem giving new shows the benefit of the doubt. Earlier this year they renewed their freshman series “Treme” for a second season after one episode and they’re doing the same with “Boardwalk Empire”. A mere 48 hours after its premiere the heads of the network have sent out a press release announcing their decision to keep the show on their roster for another year.
“Boardwalk Empire” season 2 will premiere on HBO in Fall of 2011 - exact date to be announced. Michael Zegen will join underworld criminals like Al Capone (Stephen Graham) & Charles ‘Lucky’ Luciano (Vincent Piazza) in the role of Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel.
